Antalóczy Tímea

Doktori fokozatát és diplomáit (történelem, népművelés, szociológia) a debreceni Kossuth Lajos Tudományegyetemen szerezte. Bolyai Ösztöndíjas (2001-2004) és a Bolyai Plakett (2005) tulajdonosa. Több mint 20 évig dolgozott a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Szociológiai Kutatóintézetében majd Politikatudományi Intézetében, kezdetben ösztöndíjasként, majd munkatársként, végül főmunkatársként. A Magyar Szociológiai Társaság Művészetszociológia szakosztályának elnöke volt 2013-ig. 

1993 óta különböző felsőoktatási intézményekben oktatott és kutatott. 1999-től oktat a Moholy-Nagy Művészeti Egyetemen (MOME), ahol többek között a Menedzserképző Intézet igazgatója, később az Elméleti Intézet Társadalom- és Gazdaságtudományi Tanszékének vezetője volt. Jelenleg a MOME Elméleti Intézetének docense, a MOME Doktori Iskola témavezetője és oktatója.

Oktatói tevékenysége mellett a Médiakutató című folyóirat szerkesztője majd tanácsadó testületének tagja. A MAKAT Művészet- és Dizájnantropológia Műhely egyik alapító elnöke. A MOME DOKU filmklub egyik alapítója. A Momentumok című könyvsorozat alapítója és társszerkesztője. 

Legfőbb kutatási területei: társadalom-, kultúra- és médiaelmélet, divat-, művészet-, design-, település- és médiaszociológia.

She holds a PhD and diplomas (history, public education, sociology) from the Kossuth Lajos University of Debrecen. She was a Bolyai Scholar (2001-2004) and owns the Bolyai Plaque (2005). She worked for more than 20 years at the Institute of Sociology and Political Science of the Hungarian Academy of Science, first as an associate, then as a staff member and finally as a senior research associate. Until 2013, she was the President of the Sociology of Art Section of the Hungarian Sociological Society. 

Since 1993, she has been teaching and researching at various higher education institutions. Since 1999, she has been teaching at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME), where she was, among others , the Director of the Institute for Management Training and later Head of the Department of Social and Economic Sciences at the Institute of Theory. She is an Associate Professor at the MOME Institute of Theory and Head of the MOME Doctoral School.

In addition to her lecturing  activities, she is a co-editor of the journal „Médiakutató” (Mediaresarch) and a member of its advisory board. She is one of the founding chairpersons of the MAKAT Workshop on Anthropology of Art and Design, one of the founders of the MOME DOKU film club, and co-founder and co-editor of the book series Momentum. 

Her main research interests include social, cultural and media theory, sociology of fashion, art, design, urban and media sociology.
